Marquard & Bahls Starts an Employee Campaign for Refugees

Clothing Donations for Refugees

In 2015, a particularly large number of refugees arrived to Hamburg. As a cosmopolitan company, Marquard & Bahls wants to help improve the situation of refugees and therefore, started a short-term employee campaign for refugees. In the first week of February 2016 employees of Marquard & Bahls and its subsidiaries were encouraged to make non-monetary donations to a collection point at the company's headquarters, which the Team Sustainability forwarded to the Hanseatic Help association. Employees donated a total of five cubic meters of winter clothing, bedding, winterproof shoes and sleeping bags, which the association distributed to refugees.
