New Management at Oiltanking

Matti Lievonen, CEO Oiltanking GmbH and René Anghel, CFO Oiltanking GmbH stepped down from their respective CEO and CFO positions in Oiltanking GmbH, effective December 31, 2022.

Since joining Oiltanking in 2019, Matti was instrumental in repositioning the Oiltanking Group portfolio for the future. He successfully established Advario as a new company, set up LatAm as an independent business division, and has completed most of the transition activities of the Accelerate Program. René joined Oiltanking in 2019 and has played an important role in the redesign of the finance organization and the development of the new reporting processes, as well as the refinancing of the OT Group.

Effective 1 January 2023, Bas Verkooijen, CEO Advario, additionally assumed the role as CEO Oiltanking GmbH, reporting to the Supervisory Board. On the same day, Eckhard Jung, VP Group Controlling & Accounting at Advario, assumed the additional role as CFO for Oiltanking GmbH. Both Bas and Eckhard will be Managing Directors of Oiltanking GmbH. Holger Donath will continue in his role as CEO Oiltanking Latin America, reporting into the Supervisory Board.
