Oiltanking Texas City Employees Take Part in Beach Cleanup in Galveston Bay

Annual Beach Cleanups

Oiltanking Texas City found that trash on the local beaches represents a problem. Since 2006, employees have therefore voluntarily agreed to participate in an annual beach cleanup in Galveston Bay. The beach cleanup meets the guidelines of the Clean Texas Program, a leading environmental initiative that was initiated by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Each year, Oiltanking employees and other participants from local schools, environmental organizations and businesses helped collect trash on a 1.6-kilometer stretch of beach.
