Vitória, Brazil (2014) | Computer Training for Young People
530 Teens Were Able to Improve their Computer Skills
In the time period 2012 to 2014 Oiltanking Terminais in Brazil funded projects run by the Institute of Community Action of Paul (IACBP), an NGO founded in 2007 that concentrates on improving young people’s computer skills so as to boost their chances on the labor market. There are no age restrictions on the courses offered to the local population free of charge by the IACBP, and no prior knowledge is required. Oiltanking Terminais sponsored the NGO with 20,000 euros per year. This money was used both to increase the number of training rooms and expand the range of free courses, in which 530 young people participated.
