Oiltanking Employees Help to Pack more than Two Million Meals to Address Child Hunger

Meal Packing

As in the previous year, Oiltanking Grindrod Calulo (OTGC) took action on Nelson Mandela International Day to help change the world for the better. This time, our employees in Cape Town joined the “Stop Hunger Now” campaign on July 18, 2017, the day dedicated to ending child hunger. During the day, ten Oiltankers and volunteers from all over the country helped to pack about two million meals. The meals are highly nutritious and contain rice, soy, a hydrated vegetable mix and a fortification mix of essential minerals and vitamins formulated to combat malnutrition. The project benefited families across the African region and, as one can see, was also a great experience for the volunteers.
