Oiltanking Cartagena Visits Nursing Homes as Part of the Project “Golden Years”

People who reach a certain age are often told they have entered their “Golden Years”. However, many seniors experience this time of life as anything but golden. Oiltanking Colombia’s “Golden Years” CSR activity was launched in 2015 to help alleviate some of the feelings of loneliness and abandonment felt by many nursing-home residents. It involves staff visiting nursing homes to offer residents support and a change from the routine. On December 16, 2017, the residents of the Hoger El Señor retirement home in Cartagena, Colombia, enjoyed the pre-Christmas visit from our Oiltanking staff. Besides just spending time with the elders, 50 Oiltankers took care of necessary renovations on the grounds, which included cleaning and painting activities in the common areas as well as in the garden.
