Oiltankers from the Daya Bay Terminal Pay Their Respects to the Elder Generation

Time and Love for the Elderly

The vast majority of Oiltanking Daya Bay’s employees left elderly relatives behind in their hometowns when they took a job at the terminal. Because there never seems to be enough time to visit and spend time with relatives, especially elders who live far away, Oiltanking Daya Bay launched its CSR activity "Love our elders, respect the elderly" on September 9, 2016. As part of the project, Oiltanking staff collected gifts and in-kind donations, e.g. items of daily use. The gifts were distributed to the region’s seniors on Chung Yeung Festival, a traditional Chinese holiday.

On October 10, Oiltankers also visited the residents of a local nursing home to bestow gifts and blessings, and provide a change from the daily routine.

They continued their activity in 2017, meeting with seniors in a park in June. They demonstrated respect and affection by spending time and engaging with the elderly.
