Many New Fruit Trees Planted at the Nanjing Site

"Day of the Tree" Event

On March 12, “Arbor Day” or “Day of the Tree” is celebrated in many countries around the world. In China it is a longstanding tradition, having first been introduced in 1915. At the Nanjing site, it was decided to jointly plant fruit trees around a pond. Although the tree planting was quite physically exhausting, everyone involved was happy and satisfied at the end of this worthwhile day of work. Besides strengthening environmental awareness, the idea was also to enhance team spirit and encourage people to take action for the environment, together.
