IOT and Oiltanking Employees Join a 100-km Charity Race for Oxfam
Oxfam Trailwalker
In November 2016, as in the previous year, sixteen IOT and Oiltanking employees in Mumbai, India, and Hamburg participated in the Oxfam Trailwalker in India in four teams. The Oxfam Trailwalker is an international charity walk hosted by the global development organization Oxfam, in which teams cover a distance of 50 kilometers in 24 hours or 100 kilometers within 48 hours. Four teams of four opted for the 100-km route, which took them over steep climbs, rocky descents into canyons, jungle trails and rocky dirt tracks and, occasionally, impassable roads. Two other IOT volunteers supported the teams on the route, waiting at 10-km intervals to provide water and snacks for the walkers. Overall, the team raised 5,871 euros for Oxfam.
