Financial Support for a Wide Range of Social and Environmental Projects
Terminals in Kotka Donate to Charity
Together, the two Terminals in Kotka and Kotka South donated around 3,600 euros for projects in the fields of education, culture & sports, environment, health and humanitarian aid.
Kotka South supported the “Luontoliitto” which is a non-governmental nature and environmental protection organization for children and teens. The organization works with forest, wild animal, water system, climate and energy issues, and is a pioneer in environmental education in Finland. As part of their efforts, they organize nature clubs and camp activities, and publish guidebooks as well as information material related to nature and the environment.
The terminal also supported “Stop Huumeille,” an organization that works in drug addiction prevention by e.g. offering activities such as information evenings and daytime activities.
Another donation went to “Pelastakaa lapset ry” which is an organization that specializes in foster care and adoption.
Lastly, the Kotka terminal supported the “Local Junior Sportsteam” and “Scouts program.”
