Together through the Corona Crisis

From the early days of the Covid-19 Corona crisis we have proactively prepared ourselves and monitored the impacts of the virus, including applying travel restrictions and a wide range of other preventive measures. This approach was taken as the health and safety of our employees and their families is top priority for us and is deeply rooted in our values.

We are taking every effort to protect our employees as we continue to operate our business. Our crisis management team has been, and is continuously coordinating all efforts to manage this challenging situation. Pandemic plans are in place in our facilities around the world and it goes without saying that we comply with all government guidelines and regulations.

Preventive Measures

We have enabled working from home wherever possible and have implemented shift-based work for critical teams. At our terminals, existing shift systems have been adapted, and a wide range of additional safety measures have been applied in order to minimize chances of the virus spreading. These measures include, but are not limited to, restriction of access to our facilities, temperature checking, increased hygiene measures for handling vessels and trucks, precautionary quarantine and regular disinfection of facilities. Our employees are offered high standards of hygiene.

Until the situation stabilizes, we will not participate in any conferences or events, as we have stopped all our travel activities. We will also not be receiving visitors at our headquarters, global offices or terminals.

Caring for Our Employees

Regardless of whether our employees are working remotely or in critical roles at our terminals, we keep in touch with our teams on a regular basis to ensure their wellbeing and to provide the communication updates, support and guidance they need to navigate the crisis. Around the world our teams are pulling together to support each other and the communities in which they operate.

Serving Our Business Partners

We have sites in many affected countries, but we continue to operate all activities - including our more complex gas and chemical sites - safely. Given our robust systems and sound business continuity plans, we are confident that our services will continue to run smoothly, although our ability to deliver our services may be reduced in accordance with local guidance and travel restrictions. Our business partners can obviously still reach us via the known phone numbers or email addresses and naturally we will be available for virtual meetings as well.

We can all make our contribution to society in terms of slowing down the spread of Covid-19 by consequently keeping physical distance while conducting essential activities. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our employees for their commitment and our business partners for their ongoing trust in these unprecedented times. Should you have any questions or concerns please contact your known company representative or our headquarters and we will be happy to address these.
