(Senior) Regional Controller Oiltanking (m/f/d)

Oiltanking has been active in tank storage logistics since 1972, and is one of the largest independent operators of tank terminals for oils, gases and chemicals worldwide. The company owns and operates 63 terminals in 23 countries with a total storage capacity of 20 million cbm, on five continents – in Europe, North America, Latin America, the Middle East, Africa, India, and the Asia-Pacific region.

For our Head Office in Hamburg we are looking for a

(Senior) Regional Controller Oiltanking (m/f/d)

Your tasks: 

  • Act as main communication point on all financial and controlling matters between Region and Finance&Controlling Department
  • Monitor, analyze and drive financial performance and ensure high quality of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting (IFRS)
  • Review of non-financial information and reporting on non-financial information
  • Guide regional finance organization in preparation as well as review and challenge budgets and forecast (profit & loss, balance sheet, cash flow statements)
  • Prepare presentations and regular & ad-hoc reports
  • Continuously improve Oiltanking reporting and controlling processes
  • Advise Oiltanking Management in Head Office on financial matters for your region
  • Advise and support Oiltanking Regions in optimizing capital structure, dividend planning and refinancing
  • Ensure compliance in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles, corporate finance policies & procedures and internal control processes
  • Provide financial advice and support for portfolio management
  • Become subject matter expert for specific subject areas and lead or participate in related projects

Your profile:

  • Several years of proven finance expertise working in a multi-national corporate environment
  • Strong understanding of financial accounting and reporting processes (IFRS)
  • Proactive behavior and hands-on mentality (acting in advance of future situations, taking control and making things happen)
  • Willingness to work in a change-determined environment
  • Graduate degree in economics or similar education
  • Delivery focused with an ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to work in a structured way
  • An open-minded and problem-solving attitude
  • Solid stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Interested in having a high degree of interaction with different group function and entities across the world
  • Naturally acting with integrity and accountability
  • Fluent English & German language skills
  • SAP, MS Office knowledge
