Oiltanking Acquires Terminals in Cartagena and Joliet
Oiltanking starts the year 2009 with the acquisition of two chemical terminals from Dow Chemical. The Cartagena site strengthens Oiltanking’s network of terminals in Latin America, and adds another country to the first terminal site in Colombia. The facility has a total tank capacity of 9,300 cbm (58,500 bbls), a deep water jetty with 8.8-meter (29 ft) draft, and ample land for expansion.
The marine terminal in Joliet, USA, consists of 67 tanks with a total capacity of 44,600 cbm (280,000 bbls). Its good transport links and the option for further expansion make the terminal an attractive proposition.
