This location just north of Koblenz is one of the most significant terminals for supplying the middle Rhine region. Especially, products are shipped in from Amsterdam, Antwerp and Rotterdam by barge for distribution throughout the area by tank truck (Koblenz/Trier A48 highway and Cologne/Frankfurt A3 highway). Located north of the Bingen Depression, Bendorf is predestined for lightering as good-sized barges can be shipped in even at times of low water levels on the Rhine. The same applies to barges destined for the Oiltanking terminals in Breisach, Frankfurt, Hanau, Honau and Karlsruhe.
Blocktrains can be discharged and loaded with any product mentioned below. This makes this location one of the most flexible terminals within Oiltanking Germany.
