Oiltanking builds new petrochemical jetty in Daya Bay, China

The Oiltanking Group announces that they have entered into a joint venture with the Huizhou Dayawan Petrochemical Industry Park Development Group Co. Ltd. to build, own and operate a public jetty for bulk liquid petrochemicals within the Huizhou Daya Bay Petrochemical Industrial Park.
One jetty with 2 berths of up to 10,000 DWT, will be constructed and is expected to be ready for commercial use during the first quarter of 2009.
At present Oiltanking already owns and operates Oiltanking Daya Bay as the exclusive provider of independent tank storage services within the Huizhou Daya Bay Petrochemical Industrial Park with the strategy to develop these facilities into a world-scale integrated industrial terminal providing services to all tenants in the park and to the chemical market in Southern China at large.
Additionally Oiltanking owns and operates common pipe rack facilities within the Huizhou Daya Bay Petrochemical Industrial Park to facilitate efficient and safe transfer of petrochemical products and utilities by connecting tenants of the industrial park to the jetty and the terminal.
This latest infrastructure expansion is a significant milestone. Oiltanking is confident that it will successfully further develop the Huizhou Daya Bay Petrochemical Industrial Park, together with the much appreciated support of all institutions involved, by offering world class independent tank storage services to its tenants and other third parties.
