Security
Oiltanking facilities store large volumes of valuable and potentially hazardous liquids. To prevent theft, vandalism and even terrorism, we continously identify and analyze security threats. Based on this risk evaluation, each terminal has implemented countermeasures that include fencing, security guards, camera surveillance, patrols and electronic-access-control systems.
An important part of our security philosophy is the thorough training and supervision of all third parties (e.g. truck drivers, contractors, surveyors) who work at our terminal.
All Oiltanking facilities that interact with ships on international voyages comply with the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPS) Code of the International Maritime Organization (IMO).
